A fete is simply a party. All fetes feature a line up of DJs who wow the audience with their music mixing skills. Some fetes may have live performances from artists.
This all depends on the type of party you are attending if it’s a classy party classy/casual wear will be fine, ladies heels are optional if you think you can manage through the night however if it is a party that involves paint or water or any liquids of that kind then easy to move in clothes that you’re ok with ruining are a perfect choice.
Carnival is a very active event, you will spend the majority of your time walking, dancing, and jumping to the sound of soca. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sun screen, something small and light to hold your personal items, and light but stylish clothing. Don’t worry, we’ll send you our ultimate packing checklist before your trip to help you out.
As often as possible we try to stay in boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, apartments and villas.
Because we prefer to stay in locally-owned accommodations, some of the hotels and rooms can be on the smaller, quirkier side. For example, this is very common for Europe and adds to the charm of each place, we think.
Unless you request to share a room with someone, you will share a twin room with another traveler of the same gender.
Yes, there will be access to WIFI in your accommodations.
In short, as much as you want.
We plan certain activities that we feel are must-dos for the place you’re going. On the other hand, we understand that different people have different interests so we didn’t want to plan every minute. Depending on the trip, we leave roughly half of the time open so you can customize your trip to your interests.
Also, even though we highly recommend participating in the included activities (and most people do), this is your trip and you can participate in as much or as little as you like.
